I attempted my first Rondelet for the Wea’ve Written Weekly challenge. This week, the prompt was provided by Lady Lee, who asks us to do the following:

Compose a Rondelet.

Rondelet

The rondelet contains a single septet (a verse of seven lines); a refrain; a strict rhyme scheme; and a distinct meter pattern. This is the basic structure:

  • Line 1: A—four syllables (refrain)
  • Line 2: b—eight syllables
  • Line 3: A—repeat of line one (refrain)
  • Line 4: a—eight syllables
  • Line 5: b—eight syllables
  • Line 6: b—eight syllables
  • Line 7: A—repeat of line one (refrain)

I’ve been going through my emails and my photos in my personal Gmail account whenever I have a free moment (haha) because I keep getting the dreaded message that I’m out of storage. Google reassures me that I can fix this problem by simply paying for storage, and my husband insists that I should just download all the documents and photos I have saved.

Of course, I can never opt for one of those logical choices and have instead decided to painstakingly work my way through my 40,000+ emails in the hopes that getting that number down to say a manageable 2-3,000 might open up some fresh storage space and alleviate the problem. Wish me luck! 🤞😁

  1. Haha best of luck with cutting down the emails! I panic about paying for more space because I randomly wonder what’ll happen if I can no longer pay for the space?? Would those extra things in the extra space vanish??? I’d probably try to delete stuff too 😆
