backlit by moonlight
hovering in fog
twinkling along sunset
smiling in smog
quivering by dayspring
thundering at dawn
lightning in the gloaming
echoes of a song
Just a fun little poem to start out your Monday morning.
What’s your favorite time of day to be outdoors? I am a big fan of sunsets and dusk, particularly in the summer and into autumn, when a chill fills the air about that time of day. The only problem we sometimes run into that time of day is the mosquitoes, though I do have a super cool, not-nerdy-at-all hat with netting draped around it that can minimize that issue.
Hope you all have a wonderful week!

I love early morning sunshine in the rainy season. It’s crisp and rejuvenating 💞

Oh, that sounds so lovely! I can imagine it’s a nice break from the rain, too.

Ooh, yes, a beautiful sunrise is very lovely. The oldest and I have seen some nice ones waiting at the bus stop lately as the sunrise gets later in the morning.

Hehe~ Isn’t the mosquito the state bird of Wisconsin?? Your poem made me think of fall sunsets where we gathered around a bonfire as the day slid into night… and the smoke from the fire kept the mosquitoes at bay….

It is our “secret” real state bird after the robin 😅 The bonfire smoke is helpful with those buggers!

It does confuse them as to where their meal is located!
