skip stones from skyscrapers
coming down with moondust dreams
beyond the balanced bayou
above the crescent cadence
and atop the twisting tempest
until the valley falls asleep
This is just a fun little poem that I wrote earlier this summer and decided to share at a time when I knew life would be a bit busier. Nature images usually inspire my poetry, and I sometimes like to just start with a line and see where it takes me. What’s your favorite inspiration for poetry?

Lovely poem! I loved the imagery! My inspiration is the life going on around me. I am an observer of the minutia of life and the fleeting shadows of emotion on the faces of the people I see…

Thank you! There’s so much to see when we pause to observe it.
