Poem: Illusion

Bromegrass breaks stubbornly through ice-crusted snow fighting silently branches sighing beside me. The air smells of rainy evergreens and for a moment I think the clouds part for us baring sun-kissed azure but it’s only the breeze nature’s tongue scolding us back inside.
